Fourteen-Nineteen is the creation of two young londoners Lewis Chaplin & Alex F. Webb. Overwhelmed, impressed and ultimately inspired by the sheer level of creativity, diversity and artistic talent going on in the world of photography right now from their peers or otherwise, they started fourteen-nineteen – as a way of celebrating & featuring the work of people who currently exist within that small, fleeting adolescent age group online, and in the very near future on gallery walls and in printed zines.

A few words by Lewis & Alex

We hope that you can look at these photos and love them like we do, but without loving them just from looking at the photographers’ age. we think these are timeless and beautiful images regardless of at what point they were taken in someone’s life, and we hope that you think that too.

we hope that this selection demonstrates the variety and originality coming up from the youth of the world; this is the diversity and competence that we see every day, that motivates us and creates friendships, ideas and a positive online presence of the young photographer in a cliche-ridden, stale world of high-school-photo-class kids with flashy DSLRs.

we’d love to know what the story is behind each photo like David did before us – but sometimes mystery and indulging yourself in anothers life and work is more than enough; we’ll let the images speak for themselves. enjoy!
